Dr. Marlon Joseph Coleman, Th.D., MBA, is the Lead Pastor of HOPE Church in Muskogee Oklahoma. Pastor Marlon, as he is affectionately known, loves people and works tirelessly to grow families through expressing the love given to us by Jesus Christ. In 2020 he was elected as the 50th Mayor of Muskogee. In June of 2020 he was elected the 50th and 1st African American Mayor of Muskogee, and re-elected in February 2022 with over 85% of the vote.
HOPE Church has experienced tremendous growth under Pastor Marlon, having baptized over 200 souls and received many new members. In 2015 Pastor Marlon marched the church into its new 32,000 square foot worship campus located at 500 West Broadway Street in downtown Muskogee Oklahoma, where they are remodeling their education building into a Family Quality of Life Center.
In additional to his spiritual calling Pastor Marlon is a very accomplished professional having worked for the United States Government for over 22 years holding senior management and administrative positions across the country and is a former adjunct professor at Washington Theological Seminary, Bacone College, and Connors State College. He is currently engaged in his local community on many levels. He is also Past-President of Neighbors Building Neighborhoods, the largest nonprofit organization in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Pastor Marlon has a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and Doctorate of Theology in Pastoral Care from Andersonville Theological Seminary.
